Precision Moulds for Automotive & Industrial Components
Complex, durable, high-accuracy moulds for technical plastic parts and demanding production environments — built for automotive, industrial, and OEM applications.
Advanced Moulds for Demanding Applications
Automotive and industrial applications demand moulds that maintain accuracy across thousands of production cycles, handle engineering-grade materials, and produce parts with consistent mechanical properties. MIR Moulds applies advanced machining, premium tooling steels, and scientific validation to deliver production-ready industrial moulds.
🏥 Family Moulds
Multiple different components produced in a single mould. Optimised for balanced fill, runner systems, and simultaneous production of matched component sets for assembly efficiency.
🎏 2K / Two-Shot Moulds
Two-component injection moulds for over-moulding, co-injection, and bi-material part production. Rotary platen, index plate, and core-back 2K mould systems available.
🔄 Unscrewing Moulds
Hydraulic and rack-and-pinion unscrewing core systems for threaded components, bottle preforms, industrial fittings, and any internally or externally threaded part geometry.
📉 Interchangeable Cavity/Core Moulds
Mould base with interchangeable insert systems to produce multiple part variants from a single base. Ideal for product families, colour variants, and size ranges.
🔥 High-Temperature Material Moulds
Moulds engineered for PEEK, PPS, LCP, PEI, PPA, glass-filled nylons, and other high-performance engineering thermoplastics requiring elevated mould temperatures and specialised surface treatments.
🔧 Insert & Over-Moulding
Moulds with insert loading features for metal insert encapsulation, over-moulding onto substrates, and multi-material component production for automotive and industrial assemblies.

Automotive & Industrial Moulds — FAQ
Can you manufacture IATF 16949-compatible moulds?
Our manufacturing and validation processes support IATF 16949 and automotive quality standards. We provide PPAP-supporting documentation, dimensional reports, and validation data for automotive customers.
What engineering-grade materials can you mould?
PEEK, PPS, LCP, PEI, PPA, glass-filled PA, POM, PC, ABS, and all standard engineering thermoplastics. We advise on material selection, shrinkage compensation, and tool steel grade for high-temperature and abrasive materials.
Do you manufacture 2K / two-shot moulds?
Yes. We manufacture rotary platen, index plate, and core-back 2K moulds. Applications include soft-touch over-moulding, bi-colour parts, sealing applications, and multi-material assemblies.
Can you replicate or replace existing moulds?
Yes. We can manufacture replacement moulds to existing part drawings, perform DFM improvement on legacy designs, and supply spare cavities or core inserts for existing mould bases.
